Do you know what story you are living according to? That’s influencing the way you parent? Do you know what story your children are living? Every day, we are exposed to over 5000 ads a day! At the grocery store, on Instagram, on youtube, on Tik Tok, and on the bus ride to and from school.
Every day, it is estimated that we make around 35,000 decisions! The stories that we believe and let drive our lives matter because they are not only providing for us the framework to make decisions, but are also influencing the way we spend our time, our money, and our energy.
So if we’re not intentional and proactive in living our lives, and parenting according to the story that matters most to us, then we’re opening the doors to allow fortune 500 companies, peer pressure, and fate to write our stories. And, we can guarantee that none of those things or people have our—or our family’s—best interests in mind. The fact is, if we do not invite our children into a story, someone else will.
In Episode 87, Daniel and Christina give you the tools to identify and craft a family story that will give you purpose, direction in life, and connection with one another.
